ROLE: LEAD RESEARCHER
This study explores the issues, challenges, and emerging trends affecting instructional designers today. We are interesting in finding out if ID competencies have changed especially in light of new technologies and practices.
Using various research methods, we are collecting perceptions, experiences, and insights about actual situations from practitioners. Our goal will be to generate different ideas and opinions involving ID competencies from a diverse population.
This project is being carried out by the Rothwell & Associates (R&A) group and is led by Dr. William J. Rothwell of Penn State University and the President of R&A will lead this research. The study was commissioned by the Association for Talent Development (ATD formerly ASTD) which has partnered with The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).
PostScript: We have completed our study and it is available on the ATD website.
